PAUL R. RICHTER 

 

 

Paul Richter is the Managing Director of Hyde Park Search Group, talent acquisition specialists, operating out of offices located in Oakville, Ontario. He specializes in the recruitment of professionals, managers and executives and their respective support staff. He has conducted assignments locally, across Canada and throughout the USA.

 

Paul has enjoyed an extensive and diversified career initially in Sales, and Human Resources possessing experience with major corporations in both the private and public sectors in Nova Scotia, Ontario and Wisconsin. Previous positions included Corporate Vice President, Human Resources for Speedy Muffler King’s worldwide operations; Director of Corporate Human Resources with Firestone Canada and Manager, Personnel & Industrial Relations with Crossley Carpets. He was also on assignment in the United States as Vice President Human Resources and Administration for SNE Enterprises (PGI) a Fortune 500 Company and the fourth largest manufacturer and marketer of wood and vinyl windows and doors in North America.

 

Paul is a seasoned HR executive with also over 20 years experience as a search consultant. As a generalist, he has a track record of recruiting hundreds of high achievers in virtually every occupational category imaginable with a specialty in manufacturing and retailing. Of course, he enjoys a functional centre of expertise in Human Resources. Having interviewed thousands of candidates, Paul has an innate ability and reputation for being able to quickly identify, attract and assess potential talent in many functional areas. His past and present clients represent a wide range of diversified companies such as TRW, S.C. Johnson, JI Case, Levis Strauss, Kraft, Hershey, Dare Foods, Canada Packers, Williams Coffee Pub, Avcorp, Heroux Devtek, Hercules Tire, Grohe Canada, Wentworth Technologies and BASF as well as Institutions, Not-For-Profit, Municipalities and Healthcare organizations.

 

As a Human Resources Career and Management Consultant, he has created a series of programs aimed at the motivation and development of career-oriented individuals. He has personally trained over 1,000 frontline supervisors and managers and directed staff that introduced continuous improvement tools and techniques. He has conducted many seminars and workshops such as The Art of Hiring, The Value of Time, Successful Supervision, The Team Approach to the 21st Century, and Rediscovering the Joy of Work.

 

Paul has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Saint Mary’s University with a major in Sociology and a concentration in Personnel-Industrial Relations. He is a Past President of the Maritime Personnel Association and a member of the Human Resources Professionals Association. He has always been active in the communities in which he has lived being a Board Member of the Chamber of Commerce, The Rotary Club, The Brantford Club, and Junior Achievement.
